Meghan Markle and Prince Harry once enjoyed a secret Halloween night out with Princess Eugenie and Jack

Meghan Markle has revealed that she and Prince Harry once enjoyed a secret Halloween night out with Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank where they wore costume disguises.

In a surprise interview aired on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday, Meghan, 40, shared details of the incognito double date after the trio visited her when she was working in Canada as an actress.

Meghan revealed: "He came to see me in Toronto and our friends and his cousin Eugenie and now her husband Jack, they came as well.

"And the four of us snuck out in Halloween costumes to just have one fun night on the town before it was out in the world that we were a couple."

Surprised by the revelation, host Ellen asked: “So you went with Harry to a Halloween party and they had no idea it was the two of you?"

"It was a post-apocalypse theme," Meghan confirmed. "So we had all this very bizarre costuming on and we were able to just sort of have one final fun night out."

Elsewhere, Meghan also discussed her recent Halloween celebrations, joking that her children Archie and Lilibet were "not into" Halloween "at all" this year, despite her and husband Prince Harry doing their best to get them in the spirit of the holiday.

The Duchess of Sussex even dressed up Archie, two, as a dinosaur, with five-month old baby Lili decked in an adorable skunk outfit.

"We kept saying this Halloween this is your chance to go out, but you chose to stay home this year," Ellen said.

Nodding, Meghan replied: "We were home and we saw you guys, which was great.

"But no we wanted to do something fun for the kids.

"And then the kids were just not into it at all," the royal laughed. "Archie was a dinosaur for maybe five minutes."

"Not even five minutes," Ellen corrected, as Meghan agreed.

"Finally Harry talked him into putting the little head on," Ellen joked, before revealing that baby Lili had been dressed as a skunk.

"It was so cute," the TV host gushed as Meghan cooed over her baby daughter.

"I know like Flower [the character] from Bambi," the mum-of-two beamed.

Meghan also gave an adorable insight into family life on the show and showed a rare photo of Archie playing with chickens in the family garden.

Speaking to Meghan about the adorable snap, Ellen – who is a neighbour of Meghan and Harry's in Montecito – said that "he's so sweet with the chickens too".

The host added that "Archie is just such a gentle soul", to which Meghan smiled and answered: "Aww, thank you."
