Mark Wright says I’m A Celeb felt like ‘longest most horrible month of my life’

Mark Wright has opened up on his time in the I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle 10 years ago and claims it was the "longest most horrible month" of his life.

The 34 year old star revealed that while looking back on the experience he can see how amazing it was, the actual reality of being in Australia taking part in the horrific bushtucker trials and feeling constantly hungry was really gruelling.

Speaking to Little Mix stars Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, former TOWIE star Mark asked the group if they'd ever take part in I'm A Celeb or Strictly Come Dancing on his Heart FM radio show, but all three insisted any rumours were just that.

Mark then revealed he's done both shows and got to the final, but admitted that the "jungle was horrendous in terms of hunger".

"I can imagine, sod that!" mum-of-one Perrie exclaimed. "No chance you would catch me in that jungle!"

"But was it amazing, the experience?" Jade pressed the reality TV star, who couldn't help but repeat his earlier sentiment.

"When I got out it was and I looked back at how good it was," Mark mused. "But at the time it was the longest most horrible month of my life.

"Amazing looking back," he added with a laugh.

What's more, the social media favourite also shared some behind-the-scenes secrets about the programme, including how tough it really is going without creature comforts.

"There’s no glamour about it is there, there’s nothing behind the scenes where they are looking after you?" Jade pressed, trying to get the gossip.

Mark replied: "No, the night I got out at the wrap party, I said to the boss in Australia, I said, 'Why do you not show the public how hungry we really are, how boiling?'

"He was like: 'Well it gets boring you just moaning about it!'"

Mark then went on to explain his hunger pangs got so intense he even tried to escape the camp "five times".

"They had to hold me back, it was horrendous," he joked.
