Little Mix stars Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock could have risked angering former bandmate Jesy Nelson after liking her ex Chris Hughes’ most recent Instagram post.

Former Love Island star Chris posed topless in a bath full of nuts for his latest snap, prompting two of the Little Mix girls to hit that heart button. But Chris’ post was all for a good cause, so it seems Jesy’s former bandmates were just supporting a vital campaign.

The star has teamed up with KP Nuts to launch a campaign for Testicular Cancer Awareness Month, urging his followers to “check their nuts” in the shower or bath.

Looking very thoughtful as he stared into the distance, Chris captioned the snap: “Bit different from the Love Island pool eh? I've partnered with @KPNutsUK for Testicular Cancer Awareness Month. Why the bath? Well in a nutshell (pun intended ) the bath or shower is one of the best places to check your nuts for anything unusual– hence why I’m in a bath of KP Nuts to really hammer the message home!”

Jesy and Chris split last April after a 17-month relationship, with Chris later telling Vicky Pattison on her podcast, The Secret To: Showing Your Sensitive Side, that lockdown last year gave him a chance to “focus on himself.”

“It was tough, and when everyone’s like, time’s a healer,” Chris explained, “you don’t believe it when you’re in the moment.”

The exes seem to be on good terms, with Chris coming out in support of his ex-girlfriend by retweeting a thread about cruel trolling aimed at Jesy.

More recently, Chris has focused his sights on finding “the one” as he became the face of dating app Happn. In January, the reality star took to his Instagram feed and told his 2.1million followers how the app allows you to connect with people you've met at parties or walked past on the street.

Vowing to find love, he said: "So guys, I don't know about you, but last year was absolutely horrendous and 2021 can't be anything like it… I'm not having it for a second.

"So I'm gonna make this year my year and try to find "the one" and I've been speaking to my friends and family just to get a little bit of advice on how I can be a bit more romantic."

Meanwhile, Jesy has been busy preparing for the launch of her solo career after choosing to step back from Little Mix late last year. The singer initially stepped down temporarily, but later confirmed she would be leaving the group to focus on her health.

This year, she’s hinted that she’s ready to hit the solo circuit and shared snaps of herself in the recording studio, often thanking fans for their support.
