Kerry Katona ‘wouldn’t wish Covid-19 on anyone’ and shares heartbreak over ruined Christmas plans

Kerry Katona has opened up on how she's feeling since testing positive with the coronavirus.

The 40 year old, who recently recalled the emotional Christmas Day she spent in refuge centre eating corned beef, took to her Instagram feed to post a photo of herself smiling.

The snap showed the blonde beauty, who sported no make up, with her hair styled down into a low ponytail. In the caption, she told her 672,000 followers that while she may not look healthier, she feels a lot better since her diagnosis.

She wrote: "I know I don’t look it.. but this is the best I’ve felt! I honestly wouldn’t wish it on anyone."

The Atomic Kitten went on to moan about how her Christmas plans have been ruined by both her Covid-19 positive test as well as the Tier 4 restrictions as she can't spend the day with her mother Sue.

She continued: "Absolutely gutted I can’t have my mum here for Xmas.. but have 4 out of the 5 kids who are all really excited!"

Kerry, who recently backed a mum who said children sharing toys is "socially acceptable theft", added: "Want to send you all love, happiness, positivity, light, joy and blessings," followed by a red heart emoji.

Many of her fans were quick to respond as one person wrote: "Glad you are doing well. So sad you can't see your mum. That must be tough. Enjoy the people you have around you and be kind to yourself," alongside a black heart emoji.

"Aw hope you get well soon!! I know a couple of family members of mine who have it too and they felt awful! They also said try wouldn't wish it on anyone too! Sounds horrible!! Hope you get better soon!!" with two red heart emojis.

While a third added: "Kerry you seem to be radiating a beautiful calmness in this pic..times will come when we can all be together again," followed by a peace hand emoji, pink heart emoji and a dancing emoji.

Kerry revealed she contracted the virus on 18 December with a photo of herself where she appeared to have glazed eyes as she posed for the camera and wrote: "Still waiting on our Covid results! Really praying we all just have flu!!" with a praying hands emoji.

Later she took to her Instagram feed to write over a black background, the former Atomic Kitten singer posted a crying emoji and wrote: "Tested positive!"

In the caption, she explained how heartbroken she is by the diagnosis and has "never felt so poorly" before urging the public to take the deadly virus seriously.

She wrote: "Never felt so poorly in all my life!! Those who think this isn’t real, think again!! Absolutely heartbroken! Sending love and light to all those effected," followed by a praying hands emoji.
