Coleen and Wayne Rooney have proved they are stronger than ever as they shared loving pictures and messages to each other while marking their wedding anniversary.

The besotted Liverpudlians celebrated the milestone occasion with a trip to sun-drenched London with three of their four sons, Kai, Klay and Kit, and were sure to document the getaway on Instagram.

On Saturday afternoon, smiling Coleen shared a loved-up image of herself and Wayne enjoying the sunshine outside the Southbank Centre.

The 35 year old television personality and author lovingly added in the caption: "13 years married!! Happy Anniversary @waynerooney xxx," alongside a red heart emoji.

Meanwhile, footballer Wayne shared a snap of them in front of Buckingham Palace with a similarly gushing caption: "Happy Anniversary @coleen_rooney. #13YearsMarried."

Earlier this month, the smitten pair enjoyed a seaside staycation alongside footballer Tom Cleverley and his former TOWIE star wife Georgina.

Speaking of the trip, a source said: "Coleen and Wayne had a great time, and the break was just what they needed."

Recently, Coleen and Wayne also headed to Scotland to have some quality time together.

To celebrate the relaxation of lockdown rules in the UK, the Rooney's made the most of their newfound freedom to take a trip to Scotland.

The famous couple began their luxurious break at the five-star hotel, Gleneagles, in Scotland while they enjoyed a night off from parenting.

Wayne made sure to wine and dine his childhood sweetheart as the couple went out for dinner at the two Michelin star restaurant.

Meanwhile, recently it was reported that Coleen is hoping to move her parents Colette and Tony McLoughlin in to live with the family.

An insider told new! magazine: "Given they're moving in later this year and there's so much space, Coleen broached the idea of her parents joining them.

She asked Wayne how he'd feel about giving them their own wing of the house so they could have their own space but still be under one roof."
