A new podcast has claimed that Britney Spears walked down the aisle for the third time in 2012 to her then-fiancé, Jason Trawick.
The 39 year old singer got engaged to her agent Jason, 49, in 2011 after a year of dating but the pair parted ways in January 2013.
However, on Tuesday's instalment of the podcast Toxic: The Britney Spears Story, hosts Tess Barker and Babs Gray, the campaigners behind the Free Britney movement, unearthed new documents relating to her conservatorship which appear to suggest the couple did actually get hitched.
While analysing an accounting report on the star's conservatorship, they found a payment of $9,150 (£6,650) made on 1 October 2012, for "consultation [on] dissolution of marriage."
The podcast hosts went on to allege that the payment was listed under the "conservatee's legal fees" and was made to a Beverly Hills-based family attorney, the "law offices of Alexandra Leichter".
Austin Bertrand, an expert on the finances involved in conservatorship, said on the podcast: "'Consultation of dissolution of marriage' and this is under conservatee's legal fees.
"My assumption would be that those were legal services that were rendered directly for her benefit and nobody else's.
"Dissolution of marriage only means one thing, divorce."
Noting that Britney was in a relationship with Jason at the time, the podcast hosts claimed that Britney did refer to Jason as her "husband" during a radio interview on one previous occasion.
Britney and her ex, who was her agent for two years from 2008, began dating after ending their professional relationship in 2010.
Jason then became the songstress' co-conservator with her father Jamie Spears in 2012. The then-couple parted ways in 2013.
The conservatorship had been in place since 2008, and her father only "agreed to step down as conservator" last week.
OK! has contacted a representative for Britney Spears for further comment.
Britney has been married twice before – first to her childhood friend Jason Allen Alexander in January 2004, which was famously annulled after 55 hours.
She then walked down the aisle later in the same year with dancer Kevin Federline.
The pair had two sons, Sean, 15, and 14 year old Jayden, before splitting in November 2006 and their divorce finalised in July 2007
