A Place In The Sun’s Laura Hamilton calls fire brigade as home bursts in flames

Lauras Hamilton has revealed her home was caught on fire and she had no choice but to call the brigade in to "rescue" the situation.

The 40 year old A Place In The Sun star took to her Instagram stories to share the news as she posted a clip of the charred floor with a fireman pointing an extinguisher at it.

Over this, she wrote: “Errr… Just a little mishap with the rebuild this morning with the fire brigade coming to the rescue…”

She offered no other explanation for what exactly happened at the property.

Laura, who recently rushed her son, eight, to hospital as he had a mystery illness, moved into the home in early this year and has been busy restoring and rebuilding the exterior.

In January, the star shared a look into her new house, which was covered in scaffolding as she posed in front of it.

She wrote: “The scaffolding is up and the renovation begins…

“It’s no secret I love renovating properties. I love turning something run down in to something special…

“Yesterday my planning application was validated, and whilst I now have a couple of months before I can (hopefully) start the major work, in the meantime I’m making a start on repairing the roof and repointing the brickwork!”

Posting a photo of a bunch of flowers and a candle on the table on the inside of her new house, Laura added: “I have BIG plans for my new home, but in the meantime it’s cozy with lots of lamps, candles and flowers”.

The move comes after Laura's recent split from her husband of 13 years, Alex Goward.

The presenter announced the news on social media in January, writing it's "not something I ever thought I'd be saying."

Laura, who recently let loose as she pole danced at a Spanish bar, shared a photo of a quote which read: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."

She then penned as the caption: "This isn’t something I ever thought I’d be saying but, after 13 years of being together Alex and I have separated.
