You’ve been storing berries wrong -this hack will keep them fresh for 2 WEEKS by removing them from plastic packaging

A CLEVER homemaker has revealed the best way to stop your berries from going off so quickly.

Like many of us, Nicole Keshishian, from the US is tired of her store-bought berries going bad so quickly, so she found a nifty trick to keep them fresh.

Taking to her TikTok account, the blogger and lawyer revealed that you should never put the berries in the fridge in the plastic containers you bought them in.

Posting under the domain @Nicole Keshishian she said: "Today I'm gonna save you a ton of money when it comes to storing your fresh berries."

"Whatever you do, do not put them in the refrigerator in those plastic containers that you got them in" she added.

Nicole explains that the secret hack she used to keep them fresh requires just white vinegar and water.

"Follow this method. Add one cup of white vinegar, and three cups of water to a bowl along with your berries. Let soak for ten minutes to get rid of all the mould and bacteria" said Nicole.

Adding: "Rinse well and dry them off really well with a paper towel."

She also explains that the type of container is important, and she uses a glass bowl in the video posted.

"Transfer to a container lined with a paper towel and transfer to the fridge. They will now stay fresh for up to two weeks" said Nicole.
