WHETHER it's for a special occasion or just to nip to the shop, wearing the wrong dress can make you look so cheap.
In fact, there are even some dresses that will instantly put men off too.
It's easier than ever before to be bold with your outfit choices, seeing girls on Instagram posing in their mini dresses might make you think you should buy something similar, but don't be fooled.
According to fashion expert Anna Bey, there's never an excuse to don these dresses, and you'll end up looking cheap and tacky if you do.
This type of dress should be avoided at all costs, Anna says.

Showing some skin isn't always a bad thing according to the pro, and this type of dress is a perfect example of what happens if you wear a shapeless dress with a high neckline that comes down past your knees.
"It looks like a grandma dress," she joked as she showed a dress that looked like something Kate Middleton might wear to church.
It might be alright for the future queen, but for normal people these type of dresses look clumsy and cheap.

You might be able to get away with this style if you're a pear shape and need balancing out, but otherwise this trend can make it's wearers look too masculine.
"It makes you look so wide and disproportionate," Anna says.
"I know it's incredibly trendy right now," she said, but added that it doesn't work for most people and can make you look so un-classy.
The fashion queen quipped: "Do not buy them ladies, do you think this will make you look more expensive?"
"When you think 'if I add more sparkle it's going to look more expensive', you're fooling yourself.
"You're actually making yourself look cheaper and sequin dresses are such a good example of this."
"Less is more" according to the pro, "reduce and refine to look more expensive."
The ugly sister of the sequin dress, this style should also be avoided if you don't want to look tacky.
Embellished dresses go against her pro's 'less is more' rule and grab attention for all the wrong reasons.
Anna said: "This fabric can never look expensive, no matter what budget you're in.
"It probably takes the prize in how to make yourself look cheap, if you have any metallic in your wardrobe do yourself a favour and throw it out immediately."
Although, the fashionista claimed that it's possible to wear hints of metallic without looking too tacky, don't even attempt it if you're unsure.
They might've been all the range 10 years ago, but they didn't look good then and they look even worse now.
"It's the poster child for cheap looking dresses," Anna quipped.

The worst style of bodycon dresses are bandage style ones, the outfit expert said that "this style of dress shouldn't be worn by anyone, at any age, at any location."
