Glossier is opening a new permanent store in London

If the wild ‘friends of Glossier’ 50% flash sale earlier this year left you hungry for more products, then we have good news for you.

Glossier is opening a new permanent London store, following the success of its previous pop-up in Covent Garden.

The beauty brand opened a temporary retail spot at 13 Floral Street in November 2019, but the stint was cut short in March 2020 – due to the pandemic.

News of the permanent store came from Glossier founder, Emily Weiss, in a blog post.

While an exact date hasn’t been given yet, Emily has announced that the new shop is due to arrive in winter 2021 – just a few months away.

It will land shortly after two new US launches in late summer and autumn.

In a statement, Emily said: ‘I’m excited to share that we’ll be opening three all-new, permanent stores, starting in Seattle this August, followed by Los Angeles in the fall, and London in the winter.

‘This is just the beginning: we have an exciting retail roadmap to bring Glossier to many more places, including our home base of New York City, in 2022.’

There’s no doubt the new store in the capital will go down a treat with Londoners, considering how popular the pop-up was. In total, it served over 100,000 visitors in just 10 weeks and boasted the highest average daily sales of any of Glossier’s real-life experientials.

While the brand is remaining tight-lipped on the specifics, there’s no denying that the shelves will be brimming with hero products such as Boy Brow, Futuredew, Balm Dotcom and the Milky Jelly Cleanser.

We have a hunch GlossiWEAR – the brand’s clothing line – might be available to shop, too.

Elsewhere in the world of beauty, a woman has divided the internet with her excessive SPF application and another woman claims we’ve been using micellar water wrong the whole time – but experts think differently.
