Casual Kate Middleton giggles as she bakes cakes in jeans with Charlotte, George and Louis for the Platinum Jubilee

SHE might be known for her more formal looks, but it seems that Kate Middleton is just as happy in jeans as she proved today.

The Duchess of Cambridge shared sweet snaps taken in her kitchen as she enjoyed a morning of baking with her three children Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 7 and Prince Louis, 4.

The photos were posted on Kate and Prince William’s official Instagram account and see the mum in fits of giggles as she prepared the cakes ahead of a street party taking place in Cardiff today.

Captioning the snap, Kate wrote: “Baking cakes for the local community in Cardiff to enjoy at a Platinum Jubilee street party taking place today! 🎉

“We hope you like them!”

Casual Kate may have been in jeans, she added a touch of luxury with her designer top, a pink gingham blouse by Brora coming in at £129.

And the Cambridge children seemed equally thrilled to shed their formal clothes after three days of Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Charlotte looked sweet in a striped top and pink shorts, though appeared to have had a baking-related accident as she later changed into a pink polo shirt and navy tassel shorts.

Here brothers, meanwhile, looked smart in navy polo tops as they got stuck in with the baking.

It was a late night for the Cambridge children as they joined their parents for the Queen's Jubilee concert last night.
